Shipping & Fulfillment

Shipping & Fulfillment

The moment an order ships, the tracking number is on the dealer's screen and in their inbox

B4Bdex connects to the carriers you already work with. When the warehouse packs an order, the label and consignment record are created automatically and the tracking number is written into the order detail and the notification e-mail. Dealers choose a delivery address from their own branch list, partial shipments are tracked separately, and e-dispatch and e-invoice documents move through the same flow.

Working Processes
Shipping & Fulfillment

Delivery Address

Orders from a multi-branch dealer will not close until someone names the receiving branch. Type an address that is not on the list and the shipment waits while that address goes for approval.

STEP
01 /12

Shipping Method

Contracted carriers, your own delivery and collection by the dealer are the three routes on offer.

STEP
02 /12

Warehouse Release

An approved order appears in the warehouse as a pick list, with lines ordered by bin location.

STEP
03 /12

Pick and Verify

Picked items are scanned against the order, catching a missing or wrong line before anything leaves the building.

STEP
04 /12

Packing

Case count, weight and volumetric measure are entered, with a handling note added for fragile goods.

STEP
05 /12

Consignment Booking

The consignment is booked in the carrier's system and the barcoded label prints straight from the portal.

STEP
06 /12

Tracking Number

The tracking number that comes back is written onto the order and reaches the notification e-mail and the dealer's screen together.

STEP
07 /12

E-Document Flow

Shipping raises the e-dispatch note and e-invoice and passes both to your e-document provider in the same flow.

STEP
08 /12

Partial Shipments

Lines that could not be completed stay as a back-order balance, and each batch travels under its own tracking number.

STEP
09 /12

Status Updates

Out-for-delivery, delivered and failed-attempt updates from the carrier post themselves onto the order.

STEP
10 /12

Proof of Delivery

Who signed and when goes onto the order, and the dealer reports a short or damaged delivery from the same screen.

STEP
11 /12

Delivery Performance

Each month you weigh again which carrier delivered inside the time it promised and how many damage claims it generated.
